Ok People…It’s Go Time!!!
Hey y’all! Welcome to my first blog post on my new website for my new business. My name is Heather Tawney and I am an Animal Communicator. There I said it! Wow…that felt great! I am currently finishing up my certification to be a Soul Level Animal Communicator®. By the end of March, I will be certifiable. LOL But seriously, I am so so so excited to be achieving this milestone.
I connect intuitively with humans and their animals, ask questions to the animals that their humans would like to know the answers to, receive messages from the animals using all of my senses and relay the information to the human.
One of the key components to doing an Animal Communication reading is to be transparent throughout the entire reading. So, I am going to take the opportunity today to practice being transparent.
You see, I know that I have often been thought of as “the weird girl” throughout my life for one reason or another. It’s kind of a badge of honor for me. I was the first girl to cut my 80s bangs off in my class and sport a Bob haircut. I’ve been a yoga teacher before yoga was all the rage. Then there’s the time I worked for a holistic veterinarian (who is wonderful BTW). Let’s just say that these are just a few of the many times when I have had to explain myself.
Well, now, I talk to animals and that’s totally weird…and awesome….and weird. I still am amazed that I can do it. I have to pinch myself sometimes. But, to be transparent about it, I am just a bit freaked out about having to explain myself with this one. Let’s face it, most people need an explanation about what I do and how I do it. Some people get it, some people don’t. If they don’t “get it” then I have arrived at a crossroad: do I keep trying to explain myself and how neat this is or do I change the subject and try not to feel super awkward?
After those interactions, I will often find myself ruminating on how I could have gotten through to that person, feeling misunderstood and a little sad. I am sad because I want everyone to experience the absolute amazement that I have gotten to experience through this work and if they don’t “get it” then I feel like they are missing out. Sometimes, I feel misunderstood because people have a preconceived notion about communicating with animals and may think that I am a kook or in it for the wrong reasons.
In reality, it’s okay if someone doesn’t “get it”…it may not be their time. I just have to keep reminding myself of this when the time comes to explain what I do.
